Football Star, Neymar Faces Six Years In Prison Over Barca Transfer

Football star, Neymar, his parents, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and his predecessor Sandro Rosell are all awaiting trial over alleged corruption concerning Neymar’s move to the Spanish La Liga giants in 2013. The Brazilian international forward is now with Paris Saint-Germain in France’s Ligue 1.
A Spanish magistrate leading an investigation into alleged irregularities in Neymar’s move to Barcelona in 2013 said on Wednesday the Brazilian superstar could face up to six years in prison, AFP reports.
“The term imposed, in principle, could be between four and six years,” said a decree issued by judge Jose Maria Vazquez Honrubia, a copy of which was seen by AFP.
The case, which follows a complaint by DIS, a Brazilian group which part-owned the rights to Neymar, surrounds allegations of “corruption” and “fraud” in the player’s move to Barcelona.
Neymar moved to the Spanish La Liga giants in May 2013 for a reported fee of 57.1m euros. Although no financial details of the deal were revealed by either Barcelona or his Brazilian club FC Santos, Neymar’s parents were said to have received receive 40m euros and FC Santos 17.1m.
In January 2014, prosecutors in Madrid began investigating the transfer because documents requested by the authorities contained contradictory information.
Rosell resigned from his post as president a week later and Barcelona subsequently revealed they had actually paid 86.2m euros for the Brazilian star.
DIS, who received 6m euros of the 17.1m given to FC Santos, alleges that Barcelona and the Brazilian club colluded to mask the true cost of the deal.

“The Name ‘Jesus’ Was Invented, It Has No Meaning” – Daddy Freeze Says

"The name ‘Jesus’ was invented, it has no meaning" – Daddy Freeze says
Controversial OAP and online pastor, Daddy Freeze said 99% of what our Pastors and GOs teach in church is false. According to him, the word ‘Jesus’ has no meaning and was invented by manipulators. “99% of what your Pastors and GOs taught you is false! How can his name be ‘Jesus’ when the letter ‘j’ was not part of the English language until 1634? Here is a copy of the original translation of the King James Bible completed in 1611. How can his name be Jesus when the Hebrew alphabet doesn’t have a ‘j’ sounding letter? The name ‘Jesus’ is less that 400 years old, how can it aptly depict a savior that resurrected 2,018 years ago? Yeshua is Hebrew remember? So why does he have a Latin name?
◄ Hebrews 7:14 ►
New International Version
For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah,
◄ John 4:22 ►New International Version You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. If salvation is from the Jews, why do we have a Latin Jesus, but obey the law of moses and pay tithe like the Jews? The names ‘Joshua’ and ‘Jesus’ are exactly the same word in Hebrew and Greek, the Bible’s first languages, the names were separated in Latin…. why? Be careful of what name you call… The name ‘Jesus’ was invented, Yahweh had a son called Yeshua, which means salvation! the name Jesus has no meaning, it’s an invention! Yeshua is our Saviour, while ‘Jesus’ was invented by manipulators, who aligned his birthday with Nimrod’s and the pagan ‘solstice of the sun’. Yeshua said you can only worship him in truth and in spirit (John4), if you don’t know the truth, you end up worshiping a pagan invention. ~FRZ

Just look at it. I’m consuming grasses like a goat. I now used a tie. Hope I won’t turn into a goat, for God sake? The whites are unfortunate. Only God knows where they got these grasses from.

No wonder goats eat grasses. So grasses are this sweet! Can you see? Boiled potatoes. They even added boiled potatoes. But it’s not like our own potatoes. They even included egg. They said I should be eating egg alongside potatoes for God sake.”

Strike Imminent as FG, Govs Fail to Agree on Minimum Wage

A meeting yesterday between Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and state governors to agree on a new national wage again stalemated.
While organised labour is insisting on N30,000, the Federal Government wants to pay N24,000 and the states still undecided.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Zamfara chief executive, Abdul’Aizz Yari, said they were willing to pay but lacked the capacity.
He, however, disclosed that an emergency meeting of the forum would hold today and brief the vice president and the Economic Management Team on their stance.

The NGF boss maintained that “the governors still haven’t come out with any figure.”
Addressing reporters at the end of the gathering, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, had said the stakeholders had a fruitful deliberation.
He had equally told newsmen on Friday that both parties would take a final position on the issue at the meeting.
A source said the state chief executives were not comfortable with the N24,000 figure by government when some of them could not pay the current N18,000.
Ahead of the November 6 industrial action, labour will today hold a national outrage and mourning to bring their plight to the notice of Nigerians.
The move was agreed at a meeting of leaders of the three labour centres, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union of Congress of Nigeria (TUC), and United Labour Congress of Nigeria (ULC).
They further resolved that on Friday, November 2, a joint Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the trio would hold, the first of its kind, to receive reports and finalise for an ‘ultimate engagement’ with government on the issue to show the seriousness of workers and their leadership.
The information was contained in a circular to ULC affiliates and state councils through its Deputy General Secretary, Chris Oyeka.
However, NLC has ruled out fresh negotiation on the matter.
Its president, Ayuba Wabba, told The Guardian that the organised labour was not invited to the meeting that took place between Osinbajo and the governors.
He insisted that the tripartite committee had concluded its work and labour would not involve itself in any negotiation that does not fall within the ambience of negotiated figure.
Besides, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has called on the Federal Government to avert the looming strike.
The Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, in a statement, also pleaded with the unionists on the Yuletide timing amid his acceptance that their grievance was legitimate.
According to him, a strike could affect both the supply and distribution of petroleum products.

The IPOB leader added that he feels “relieved” that he “managed to make it” to Israel, “the only place I feel safe in the world.” Kanu said he could have gone back to England, “but I still don’t feel safe in England. That is why I stayed back in Israel.”

Boy Tied To A Tree And Fed Like An Animal By Grandmother - Rescued

A nurse has rescued a four-year-old boy who was tied to a tree for about thirty-six months and fed like an animal by his grandmother.

The community health nurse, who does not want her name mentioned, discovered the hidden horror last week at Balansa-Sanwaasa, a community in the Builsa North District, Ghana during a house-to-house measles-rubella vaccination campaign.
According to reports, every morning, before the old woman left for the farm or the market, she tied the little boy with a rope to a mango tree surrounded by shrubs and kept a plate of food by his side. Naked all the time and always at the mercy of the weather, the malnourished boy had no one to play with under the tree except the leaves and the insects that fell from the treetop.
Throughout the years he ought to have spent at a nursery school, he was in exclusive bondage. There he learned on his own how to scribble with his dehydrated fingers— not on paper or slate but on the soil within the area to which the black cord, which was always around his leg, restricted him.

The facts gathered by Starr News are that the boy’s mother was taken ill and died months after the boy was born. His father, too, disappeared even before his mother’s low-profile funeral was performed. Looking at the unfortunate circumstances that greeted the boy’s arrival into the world, the grandmother drew a rigid conclusion that the boy was a ‘chichiruk’—  the name for a ‘spirit child’ in the locally spoken Buli dialect.
Those circumstances formed the basis of the horrifying treatment she dealt out to the boy. And she resisted every attempt by an outsider to liberate the boy from her shackles until the nurse encountered the boy and threatened a police arrest if she did not release the child at once.
“The grandmother believed it was the boy that killed the mother,” said Derrick Abakisi, a nurse and staff of Sandema-based Radio Builsa. “Besides, she was saying that she would not take care of somebody’s child only for the parents to come and take him away later. She also said the boy liked roaming and she always had a lot of work to do; so, the only way to prevent him from roaming was to tie him under a mango tree.”
At the time of the rescue, a prolonged hunger and a severe malnutrition already had hauled the boy to the edge of a shallow grave.
He looks so emaciated an x-ray machine is not needed to see some of his bones. He appears more or less like a mobile x-ray image or a famished orphan salvaged from a war-stricken third-world country.
The rescue was not just bold. It was also timely. And a team, led by the nurse who secured his freedom, took him to the Sandema Hospital where a number of nurses feverishly contributed cash to have him registered as quickly as possible with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for the needed intensive care.
He is still at the children’s ward, receiving care and support from sympathisers who still cannot fathom why a grandmother should blame and torture a grandson for losing his mother way before he was weaned from her breasts.
Starr News learns the police arrested the grandmother but released her within hours because she had a “deaf and dumb” husband and a number of other mouths to feed at home. The Department of Social Welfare has been drawn into the matter— to see how the rescued poor young blood can find a lasting solace— but an unenthused public is both skeptical and critical of the agency, saying the ‘financially malnourished’ department itself needs urgent rescue from the brink of irrelevance.

I Was No Longer Indispensable At Real Madrid - Ronaldo Reveals

Cristiano Ronaldo Has said he decided to leave Real Madrid for Juventus after sensing that the Spanish club’s president, Florentino Perez, no longer saw him as being “indispensable”.
“I felt within the club, especially from the president, that I was no longer considered in the same way as I was at the beginning,” Ronaldo said in an interview with France Football magazine.
“For the first four or five years, I felt like Cristiano Ronaldo. Less so after.
“The president looked at me in a way that suggested I was no longer indispensable, if you know what I mean. That is what made me think about leaving.”
The 33-year-old Portuguese superstar joined Juventus in a 100 million-euro ($115 million) deal in July, ending a glorious nine-year association with Real.
His last act with the Spanish club was to participate in them winning the Champions League for a third consecutive season by beating Liverpool in the final in May.
But Zinedine Zidane departed as coach in the wake of that game, something which Ronaldo admits confirmed to him that it might be time to move on.
“My decision to leave was not based on him going. That said, it was one of the little details that confirmed to me what I had been thinking about the situation at the club,” Ronaldo said.
He added that he would “deserve” to win the Ballon d’Or this year, and in doing so would pass Lionel Messi by taking the award for a sixth time.
The winner of the prize, awarded by France Football, will be announced in early December. But while Ronaldo continues to enjoy great success on the field, scoring twice for Juventus at the weekend, he remains embroiled in off-pitch problems after being accused of rape in the United States.
A former American model Kathryn Mayorga, 34, of Las Vegas, accused Ronaldo in a 32-page complaint filed last month with a district court in Nevada, of raping her in June 2009, just before he joined Madrid from Manchester United.
“Of course this matter interferes with my life. I have a partner, four children, an ageing mother, sisters, a brother, a family with whom I am very close,” he told the magazine.
“That is without talking about my reputation, that of an exemplary person.
“Imagine what that is like to have someone say you are a rapist, or that you have this or that.
“I know who I am and what I did. The truth will come out. And the people who criticise me and who expose my life today, who make a song and dance about it, these people will see.”
